About Event

Department of Computer Science and Engineering, St. Joseph's College of Engineering and Technology Palai and IIT Bombay jointly organizing Blender Application workshop from 15 th August, 2014 to 17 th August, 2014. Main goal is to present a basic process of greeting a 3D animation in Blender from scratch. The model will start with a standard cube in Blender. Main objective is to learn and explore. The workshop will include modeling mesh, basic and advanced, from the available objects available with Blender. Students will learn to make them realistic by adding materials, textures and lights to their created models. They will also learn basics of animation and Blender Game Engine(BGE). Finally, students can create basic games using BGE and ported those successfully on Android devices.

Day 1 Get an idea of 3D Visualization Introduction to 3D, Blender UI Basic transformation Hands on practice of the mouse and keyboard shortcuts Hands on assignment on Blender UI Basics of modelling Basics of Material and Lighting Applying material and texture Basic studio setup render Day 2 Screening of BBB ,movie, making of BBB Blender Game Engine Introduction, Logic bricks, Physics types Modelling of maze Apply material and use material setting for BGE Implement logic Day 3 Material and texture changes, adding planes attached to camera, parenting the object. Blender Player on android. Create a game in BGE to run on android device
